Brief Description : Welcome to Ajmal Tibbia College, Rawalpindi. Ajmal Tibbia College Rawalpindi was Established in 1893 in Amratsur, United India as medical school named "Mudrassa Tibbia". It was upgraded in 1937 and converted in college. The college was shifted in Rawalpindi in 1947 after creation of Pakistan. The college was registered and affiliated with National Council for Tibb, Ministry of Health, Government of Pakistan in 1968 after implementation of Unani Ayurvedic and Homeopathic Practationars Act 1965. The college offered four years course "Fazil Tibb wal Jarahat" F.T.J. AJMAL TIBBIA COLLEGE. The College was started as Medical School named “Mudrassa Tibbia” in Amratsar under the Ajmal Tibbi Association in 1893, for the purpose of solving the health problems of the poor people of united India. The School was inaugurated by Mr. Abu Turab Muhammad Abdul Haq Khan, the then president of the association. In 1936, after the reservation passed by the members of Association, the medical school was upgraded as medical college named Ajmal Tibbia College. It was established on August 01, 1937 in Amratsar. Dr. Abul Fazal M.A. (Raees-e-Azam) Mayor of Kapoor Thala inaugurated this college. After the independence of Pakistan, the college was shifted to Rawalpindi in 1947. The Government of Pakistan implemented Unani, Ayurvedic and Homeopathic Practitioners Act 1965 in 1967 and Ajmal Tibbia College was registered due to his high quality standard of education and administration by Board of Unani & Ayurvedic System of Medicine (Latter National Council For Tibb) Ministry of Health, Government of Pakistan vid Letter No- F-1-20/65/ UAH dated February 03, 1968. The college has also invited several times from China, India, Srilanka, Bangladesh, South Africa, and other countries of the world. Delegations from China, Bangladesh, England and India have already visited the college premises. They tried his best to provide maximum knowledge and practical experience to the students during the education period. Specialty: The way of teaching, college has adopted is the combination of both traditional and modern techniques. We use traditional ways such as Pulse, Urine, Stool, Sputum, Saliva and physical examination, and Modern techniques such as ECG, Electronic Microscopes, Clinical Laboratory Tests, and Latest Equipment for the purpose of diagnose the disease. We also use Over head projector, Slide Projector and other latest machinery such as Video Cassette Player, Television, Computer CD’s and Internet. Additional lectures from the Prominent Practitioners of the country on specific topics for the students during session are plus point. Co-Curriculum Activities.
